Musician

My mother was a music teacher, so I started to learn piano when I was four years old. In high school and college I played the flute and the oboe. As an adult I learned to play bass guitar. I played for many years at church, and now I play with the Deep Fried Tweeters.

Bass Player

On the weekends I play bass guitar in a band called the Deep Fried Tweeters. I started filling in with the band in 2018, and became their bass player officially in 2020. We play in small towns west of the Twin Cities, like Howard Lake, Waverly, and Annandale.

This video shows me playing Footloose, the hardest bass line I have had to learn to play.

Backup Singer

I love singing and I have a great ear for it, but was not blessed with a very strong voice. While I mostly sing backups, I sing the lead part in a few songs, as shown in this video.

Because I speak a bit of Spanish, I also sing the Spanish songs, including the Macarena and La Bamba.

Coon Rapids Legion

Coon Rapids Legion is one of the few places we play in the Twin Cities Metro. They have an awesome stage and audience.

My husband was the videographer and I put together this video with the iMac iMovie product.

Howard Lake Legion

In this video we are playing at my favorite venue, the Howard Lake Legion. The band leaders grew up in this town, so we always get a huge crowd. This video is a bit old and the band members have changed. But lead singer, Tina, and the keyboard/lead guitarist are still in the band. (They are the band leaders.)

Street Dances

In the summer most of our gigs are on the back of flat bed trailers. Our band leaders have the right equipment for playing outdoors.

In this video I am singing the Macarena. Forgive my Spanish.
